Big Tissue Newsletter March

March was a fantastic month for Team Booger with the mountain bike season kicking off, camps in full swing, and our communities showing up big for some awesome give-back days.

Camp Recaps

We packed a ton of miles into the last few weeks with three incredible camps: California Camp, Seattle Gravel Camp, & Seattle Enduro Camp. With over 90 athletes across all camps, it was a great week for kids on bikes!

Enduro camp had 40 athletes and spent the week dominating gnarly trails in the Galbraith trail system.

Gravel camp took 35 kids onto the great gravel roads of the Tri Cities Areas taking on massive rides and exploring the beautiful country roads.

California camp was a road camp where the Boogers put in big bike miles fueled with lots of snacks on the sunny Santa Rosa Roads.

We just wrapped up the Sea Otter Mountain Bike Camp where 4 athletes tackled some technical Santa Cruz trails and played competitive mini golf.

Booger Giveback Days

Our Giveback Days reminded us what this team is really about:

In Seattle, 25 Boogers rolled up their sleeves for a trail work day at Duthie Hill Mountain Bike Park.

In Portland, 22 Boogers showed up strong at the local food bank and sorted foods to go out to the Portland Community

Giving back to the communities where we ride isn’t just something we do, it’s one of the three pillars Team Booger is built on. We love that the Boogers love to give back!

Fayetteville & California Racing

Fayetteville was an epic start to the mountain bike season with 14 Boogers lining up to race and 5 podium finishes! Boogers came from all over — Portland, Seattle, Spokane, California, Colorado, and beyond.

Shoutout to all the Boogers who hit the podium at Temecula:

Isaac Sproule - 1st men's 15/16 XC & 2nd men's 15/16 short track

Aleigha 3rd also

Annika Krum - 4th women's 13/14 XC

Allen Holden - 5th men's Cat1 17/18 XC

Evan Ashbrener - 5th men's Cat2 15/16 XC

Marcus D'Anna - 2nd men's Cat2 17/18 XC

Alia Anderson - 2nd women's Cat2 15/16 XC

Oliver Woods - 5th men's Cat3 15-18 XC

Following up Fayetteville, the Boogers hit Sea Otter in Monterey for some XC and Gravel racing. Charlee Albright (XC varsity women), Payton Shoresman (XC men's 17/18), and Dylan Fairbairn (gravel men's 15/16) all hit the podium at Sea Otter after racing kids from all across the country. We also had athletes competing in the Fuego XL and they left it all out on the course (and brought home some dirt too)!
