Athlete Highlight: Evan Luckey

At Team Booger, we believe being a great athlete means being a great community member and Evan Luckey is a perfect example of that in action.

As a senior in high school and Eagle Scout, Evan has gone above and beyond to give back to the outdoor community that he loves. For his Eagle Scout Project, he partnered with Washington State Parks to design and build six park reader boards from start to finish. He planned, cut, built, and painted each one, working directly with park rangers to bring the project to life. Two of the boards have already been installed, with the remaining four currently pending archaeological review. If you’re riding the Centennial Trail near Devil’s Toenail, you might spot one of them by the outhouse, the only one that proudly carries Evan Luckey's name!

Evan's commitment to service doesn’t stop there. He has contributed volunteer hours painting boards at Camp Sekani and helping with trail building at Mica Peak, Saltese Uplands, and Beacon Hill through his work with Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance. That dedication to volunteering helped open the door for him to now coach youth dirt camps in the summer passing along his love of riding to the next generation.

Evan's leadership, initiative, and service embody what it means to wear a Booger jersey on and off the bike. Team Booger exists to create more humans who lead in their communities and give back to the people and places they are involved in. We are lucky to have Evan as a leading example and a strong Booger athlete who is dedicated to Rising Up, Riding Fast, and Reaching out!
